These Terms and Conditions apply to the Paint Lab International Miniature Painting Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”).

Please read these Terms and Conditions before entering. By submitting an entry to the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by them.

The Chroma Institute is the developer and operator of Paint Lab.

Questions concerning the Prize Draw may be submitted through the Contact page of the Chroma Institute website.

2. About the Prize Draw

The Prize Draw is being conducted in connection with the Paint Lab International Miniature Painting Survey. The purpose of the survey is to help The Chroma Institute better understand miniature painters, the paints and tools they use, their painting practices and their interest in the features and services being developed for Paint Lab. The Prize Draw provides eligible survey participants with an opportunity to enter a free random draw. No purchase or payment is necessary.

3. Eligibility

The Prize Draw is open to individuals who:

  • are aged 18 years or over at the time of entry;
  • are resident in the EEA, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, subject to applicable local law.
  • complete the Paint Lab International Miniature Painting Survey; and
  • submit a valid Prize Draw entry before the closing deadline.

Employees and contractors of The Chroma Institute, persons directly involved in administering the Prize Draw, and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible to enter.

The Chroma Institute reserves the right to request reasonable evidence that a potential winner satisfies the eligibility requirements before awarding a prize.

4. How to Enter

Entry is free.

To enter:

  1. complete the Paint Lab International Miniature Painting Survey; and
  2. complete and submit the separate Paint Lab International Miniature Painting Prize Draw entry form.

The Prize Draw entry form is available at:

https://forms.gle/SccQ9n35Q5e7oZZX8

Only one entry per person is permitted.

Participants must provide accurate information. Duplicate, incomplete, fraudulent, automated or otherwise invalid entries may be excluded.

Completing the survey does not oblige a participant to enter the Prize Draw.

Entry into the Prize Draw does not require participants to subscribe to Paint Lab marketing communications, newsletters or updates.

5. Opening and Closing Dates

The Prize Draw opens on 1 September 2026.

Entries must be received by  23:59 Irish time (IST/UTC+1) on 27 September 2026.

Entries received after the closing deadline will not be included.

The Chroma Institute is not responsible for entries that are delayed, lost, incomplete or not successfully submitted because of technical problems or circumstances outside its reasonable control.

6. Prize

The prize is: One Miniature Painting Prize Bundle, including an XL Wargamers Edition Wet Palette from the Army Painter, two da Vinci Maestro - Kolinsky Sable Brushes, size 1 and 00, and 10 assorted paints from the manufacturer of your choosing. Approximate retail value (ARV): €110 (US$128, C$178, A$179, NZ$215, ¥20,450). Please note, the actual retail value may vary according to the paints selected, retailer pricing and exchange rates.

There will be a single winner.

The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.

If the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside the reasonable control of The Chroma Institute, The Chroma Institute may substitute an equivalent prize of equal or greater value.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, expenses or costs associated with accepting or using the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

7. Selection of the Winner

After the Prize Draw closes, a winner will be selected at random from all valid and eligible entries received before the closing deadline.

Every valid entry will have an equal opportunity of selection.

Survey answers, opinions, painting ability, purchasing behaviour or any other survey response will have no influence on the selection of the winner.

The random selection will be recorded by The Chroma Institute for accountability purposes.

8. Winner Notification

The winner will be contacted using the email address provided on the Prize Draw entry form.

The winner must respond within 14 days of the winner notification being sent.

If a winner:

  • cannot reasonably be contacted;
  • does not respond within 14 days;
  • is found to be ineligible;
  • has submitted an invalid entry;
  • has supplied inaccurate contact information; or
  • declines the prize,

The Chroma Institute may withdraw the prize from that entrant and randomly select another winner from the remaining valid and eligible entries.

The Chroma Institute may request information reasonably necessary to verify the winner's identity, age, country of residence or other eligibility requirements before issuing the prize.

9. Delivery of the Prize

The Chroma Institute will contact the winner to obtain any additional information reasonably necessary to deliver the prize.

Any postal address or other information obtained specifically for prize delivery will be used for that purpose and associated administrative or legal requirements.

The Chroma Institute will not be responsible for a prize that cannot be delivered because the winner has supplied inaccurate or incomplete delivery information.

10. Publicity

Entry into the Prize Draw does not require participation in publicity.

The Chroma Institute will not publish a winner's photograph, full name, social-media account or other identifying information for promotional purposes without obtaining any consent required for that use.

Nothing in this section prevents The Chroma Institute from keeping or disclosing information where reasonably necessary to demonstrate that the Prize Draw was properly administered or where disclosure is required by applicable law.

11. Personal Data and Privacy

The Chroma Institute is the data controller responsible for personal data processed in connection with the Prize Draw.

Personal information submitted through the Prize Draw form will be used for purposes including:

  • recording and validating entries;
  • detecting duplicate, fraudulent or invalid entries;
  • conducting the random selection;
  • contacting the winner;
  • confirming eligibility;
  • arranging delivery of the prize;
  • maintaining appropriate records concerning the operation and outcome of the Prize Draw;
  • responding to enquiries or disputes; and
  • complying with applicable legal obligations.

Information collected for the Prize Draw will not automatically be used for marketing purposes.

Where entrants are separately offered an opportunity to receive Paint Lab news, product announcements or other marketing communications, participation will be optional.

Choosing not to receive marketing communications will not affect eligibility for the Prize Draw or the probability of winning.

Further information is provided in the Paint Lab Privacy Policy and the Chroma Institute Privacy Policy.

12. Relationship Between Survey and Prize Draw Data

The Paint Lab International Miniature Painting Survey and the Prize Draw are administered separately.

Information collected specifically to administer the Prize Draw will not be used to alter or evaluate an entrant's survey responses.

Survey responses will not affect the probability of winning.

Survey results may be analysed and reported in aggregated or anonymised form.

The Chroma Institute will not identify individual survey respondents in published survey findings unless an appropriate lawful basis exists and the participant has been informed accordingly.

13. Marketing Communications

Consent to receive Paint Lab marketing communications is not a condition of entry.

Where entrants are given an opportunity to subscribe to Paint Lab news or updates, this will be presented as a separate and optional choice.

Where consent is relied upon, subscribers may withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe facility provided in communications or by contacting The Chroma Institute.

Withdrawing marketing consent will have no effect on an entrant's participation in the Prize Draw.

14. Disqualification

The Chroma Institute may exclude an entry where it reasonably believes that:

  • an entrant has submitted more than one entry;
  • false or misleading information has been provided;
  • automated or fraudulent methods have been used;
  • an entrant has attempted to manipulate or interfere with the Prize Draw;
  • an entrant does not satisfy the eligibility requirements; or
  • these Terms and Conditions have otherwise been materially breached.

15. Suspension, Amendment or Cancellation

The Chroma Institute reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Prize Draw where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.

Where reasonably practicable, material changes affecting entrants will be published on the Paint Lab website.

The Chroma Institute will endeavour to ensure that any change does not unfairly disadvantage valid entries already received.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to applicable law, The Chroma Institute will not be responsible for loss, damage or inability to participate resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including failures of third-party communications or technology services.

17. Governing Law

The Prize Draw and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any dispute relating to the Prize Draw will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that an entrant may have under applicable law.

18. Acceptance of the Terms

By submitting an entry to the Prize Draw, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
